Big earthquake a few minutes ago! I noticed the closet doors were shaking. First, I thought someone had slammed a door. But they kept shaking! So I thought maybe someone was stomping around the apartment above me and shaking the doors, but I remembered that I'm on the top floor.
The doors kept shaking! I then noticed the floor was rolling under my feet. Earthquake!
A quick check at my favorite earthquake site (Chad said, "You have a favorite earthquake site?") revealed a 5.5 earthquake took place near Barstow, CA -- the site of September's roadtrip hell. While I don't typically pity Barstowians -- you shouldn't live there people -- I do hope everyone's ornaments stayed on their Christmas trees and glass remained in windows and children were far from the crushing blows of their bookshelves.
