Apartment Tour: the Bathroom

Slowly but surely, rooms are taking shape. Very slowly. I have finished the bathroom! I suppose you all must wonder what there was to "finish." I had to hang up the little bathroom shelves. I had to decide where to put them and how best to hang them up and then I had to charge the battery for the screwgun so I could hang them up. It was quite the undertaking!

My last apartment boasted a bathroom roughly 1/3rd the size of this new bathroom. It was so small, there was a notch in the door. When I opened or closed it, the notch ensured that the door cleared the overhanging lip of the toilet seat.

As you can see, there's plenty of space between the toilet and the door in my new bathroom. There's also a counter! I just don't know what to put on it...

The bathroom is pretty minimal, mostly because I went all out and bought the $18 shower curtain that didn't match my colorful bathroom stuff -- the orange and lime towels and crazy plaid bathmat just don't fit. Someday, I will have that fluffy cream bathmat and a set of nice, soft matching towels... are you listening to my prayers Target price-setters?

I guess I'm not quite done with the bathroom after all, but it's something.

I like the orange accessories. Rather than relying on the Target price-setters, maybe you should be thinking of Santa Claus! And perhaps name and style dropping so he will know what you want ;)

...that was a hint that I might send you a little Christmas gift.
